The Art Academy is partnering with Elevar Design Group to transform the former BarrelHouse Brewery space on 12th Street in Over-the-Rhine into a state-of-the-art innovative and creative educational hub for the community. Future House will support four new programs for the school: Film, Animation, Social Practice, and Creative Business Entrepreneurship, with a vision to open up the spaces for the community. A restaurant will face 12th Street and a community entrance will invite the public to enter and check out interactive and technology installations. On the first story will be a gallery, a student commons, glassed-in studio space, a video suite, a screening space with tiered seating and a learning lab.
